Different Types of Forged Wheels
Forged wheel series are developed for high class vehicles, the special design of the series maximizes the lightweight character with best reliability and sharp appearance. The Off-Road series X tuning forged wheels also offer Bead lock options for your hard core SUV.
Mono block Forged Wheels
Using that technology, the forged wheels are produced by hot-die forging for 2-3 transitions in the closed die. Blanks are forged by hydraulic presses with power from 6 to 20 thousand of tons.
After that the forged blank goes through heat treatment, stages of machining process: turning, milling (at this stage the wheel design is formed), drilling and painting. This particular wheel production method is used at SLIK plant.
Multi-PCS Forged Wheels
Here is also used hot-die forging method for getting a primary blank but its appearance differs from the mono block “saucepan”. Then the rim of the blank is expanded up to certain size by flow forming machines.
Magnesium Forged Wheels
Using that approach the forged face part is made by hot die forging and the rim is produced separately by flow forming method, herewith rim width can be ranged from 6 up to 12 inches. These blanks go through corresponding heat and mechanical treatments which are identical to previous two variants, and they are painted, then assemble of the face part with the rim is performed by fastening bolts.
